...Custom Teddy Bears, lovingly designed and made entirely by hand from start to finish. Selling very personal customized bears, of course requires a personal customized website! The owner of this one contacted us in regards to helping her "fix" her website. She had designed it 100% from start to finish in Microsoft Publisher. As luck would have it though, this format was not supported by her hosting company. IND was contracted and given the daunting task of recreating the entire site in HTML, matching our version as closely as possible to the original, and teaching the owner along the way how to maintain and add to her new website. All of the graphics were already provided, courtesy of GraphicGarden, so we were only responsible for recoding the layout. Most of this project was done on-site so that the owner could be familiarized with the aspects of Photoshop and HTML that we used to construct the site. In addition to replicating the original site, we also custom designed a system that lets BrendaBears change the theme of the entry and home pages to match the current season. This is no small task in web design, as a home page MUST be named "index" in order to function properly, and no two files in a folder can have the same name. Four separate home pages were built, stored in separate folders, and the links and image tags on them were written so that when the appropriate page was placed in the main folder of the website, all the links and images would function properly. When writing HTML by hand, this is kind of like designing architectural floor plans with a blindfold on! The finalized site was the spitting image of it's predecessor though, and an ordering system was added via Paypal. The owner continues to add new bears to the site, and no picture or description can do these fuzzy works of art proper justice. These cuddly critters are sometimes child-sized, and even dressed in children's clothes. They are weighted so that they can support themselves while standing, holding accessories, or greeting your loved one for the first time on Valentine's day or Christmas. In fact, one of IND's artists commissioned BrendaBears to make a very special X-mas gift for a loved one in the form of a life-sized custom replica of her favorite cartoon character, Gir from Invader Zim. While BrendaBears would love to do more custom work, we are assured that Gir will be a one-of-a-kind, never to be reproduced original. Sorry guys. However, when one considers the limited amount of source material we gave BB, It's very possible she could create that custom stuffed creation your loved one has always wanted too. Hint hint...
